Recognize & Engage Employees
        to Retain Valuable Assets

Over the past few years, nearly two-thirds of employers have seen a decrease in employment engagement. Organizations have the ability to combat this decrease in employee engagement by proactively recognizing and rewarding staff members with an engagement award program. Employee engagement programs target both managers and employees for reaching various goals designed to increase the recognition culture of an organization.

Awards Network offers unique employee engagement ideas to clients in various industries. Most commonly, organizations looking to engage employees will implement recognition award programs which can be online, paper-based or a combination of the two. Companies recognize employees for providing valid referrals, reaching anniversary milestones and their customer relations management skills in order to empower employees and managers, increase employee retention, improve customer satisfaction and boost employee and customer loyalty.

Situation:

A company in the banking industry approached Awards Network in 2007 to design a recognition award program that would increase the number of highly engaged employees in the organization.

Solution:

Awards Network designed a cost effective online engagement program that rewarded managers and employees who reached engagement related goals. Managers were given goals that encouraged them to recognize and reward their employees, meet or exceed budget guidelines and seek out available mentoring and training opportunities to develop their careers at the bank. Employees who participated in the engagement program were given goals designed to encourage them to take advantage of training and mentoring opportunities, achieve excellence in customer service and were also rewarded for reaching anniversary milestones.

The client awarded points on a weekly basis to each of the program participants who reached engagement program goals. Top point earners were recognized on the engagement program website's leader board. Newsletters were posted to the bank's engagement program website on a monthly basis to announce any updates in program goals, introduce new employees and make the employees aware of the company's movement towards its objective.

With Awards Network analytics dashboard, the organization was able to determine the progress made towards each specific goal and overall employee interest level.

Benefits and Results of the Employee Engagement Program:

  • The bank increased the amount of highly engaged employees from 20% to 82%
  • Over 87% of the bank management budgets were met or exceeded expectations
  • Customer service surveys indicated a 60% increase in customer satisfaction
  • Employee retention improved by 67% and customer retention increased by 75%
  • The return to bank shareholders increased by 115% over the two year period of the engagement program

Throughout the creation of all engagement programs, Awards Network Account Managers work with clients to ensure the program meets your specifications and your vision while providing insights every step of the way.
