The spot light is on two clients with totally different approaches to their award program below. Both clients had different goals and challenges and each has made the most out of the reward program components and supplements available to maximize the success of their program.
Years of Service Award Program
Carmel Partners approached us in need of a service award program to reward employee loyalty. In order to recognize employee anniversaries, Carmel Partners decided to utlilize both print and online recognition components along with emails to help communicate with employees.
To get the recognition program started, Carmel Partners sent over their logo and text for the recognition letter and certificate of appreciation to their Account Manager. In just a couple of days, their Account Manager sent over proofs for the deluxe packets and photos of the website layout for their approval. Each aspect of the recognition program was customized with the Carmel Partners' logo and every deluxe presentation packet was personalized with the employee's name and years of service. After these initial designs were finalized, the recognition program website was finished and lastly the recognition and reminder emails were set up.
To place their initial order, Carmel Partners forwarded their recipient list so that their presentation packets could be printed and shipped. The packets shipped in just a couple of days and on the day they were given to employees, email notices were sent out. The recognition emails not only congratulated employees on reaching a service milestone with the company, but included the personalized log in information for the employee to access the recognition website and place an order.
As employees redeemed their anniversary awards, order status reports were sent to make sure everyone who received a service award was able to redeem his or her gift. If an employee did not redeem his or her gift within 30 days, a friendly reminder email was sent out to make sure employees had the information needed to log into the custom recognition website and place an order.

Total Rewards Program
Miller Environmental Group needed to find a way to increase safety awareness and compliance and decided to start a safety incentive program with Awards Network. In order to reach their safety goals, Miller Environmental Group decided to create an online incentive program with printed supplements to promote and communicate the program with employees.
To get the safety incentive program started, Miller Environmental Group sent over their logo, goals and points for each goal. They wanted to award points to employees on a quarterly basis and give employees a year to earn and spend all of their points before points expired. Each aspect of the safety incentive program was customized with the Miller Environmental Group's logo including the online point bank website, posters, announcement flyers, statements and order forms.
On a quarterly basis, Miller Environmental Group sent over their points to add information to be posted and then their Account Manager sent over personalized statements and order forms to each of the five locations. When managers received their complimentary statement and order forms, they were printed at each location. Employees received their quarterly statements which doubled as an order form with their paychecks. At the end of the fourth quarter, employees received their last statement and order form which was designed to draw attention to their upcoming deadline to spend all of the points earned in the past year. A friendly reminder email was sent out to employees a couple of weeks before the points were expired to ensure everyone spent their points earned.
An important aspect of the Miller Environment Group's safety program was the feedback form provided to employees online. Staff members could access the website to submit their suggestions and feedback on improving safety in the workplace, how the safety program worked, the safety awards available for them to order and any other information they wanted to share with management. Feedback could be sent anonymously or an employee could leave their contact information if they wanted to be followed up with regarding their feedback.
Miller Environmental Group appointed a main administrator who accessed the administrative website in order to maintain the user information and provide assistance to employees who were unsure of how to use the safety program website. By coupling an online safety program with print based supplements, Miller Environmental Group created a total reward program that appealed to employees while helping the company achieve their safety goals.
